Supa Cream

The unique fatty acid supplement to optimise milk yield and composition while promoting better herd health and fertility

Introduction to the Product

About Supa Cream

Top performing cows require a carefully balanced supply of fatty acids if they are to produce to their potential, delivering high milk yields and constituents combined with optimal health and excellent reproductive performance.

Supa-Cream is a precisely formulated blend of essential fatty acids derived from highly digestible oils. It contains the optimum ratio of C18:1 and C16:0 fatty acids, along with omega 3 EPA and DHA fatty acids, plus glycerine, all of which give a highly palatable free flowing meal, designed to boost dairy cow performance by:

  • Increasing overall diet digestibility to maximise energy supply
  • Maximising fat digestibility
  • Supplying essential fatty acids C18:2, C18:3 plus C16:0 and C18:1
  • Supplying glucose direct to the liver
  • Improving liver function by reducing the risk of fatty livers
  • Providing glycerine to boost the utilisation of fatty acids in the diet
  • Providing the most effective source of the Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, from sustainable marine oils
  • Boosting the immune system to improve overall health and reproductive efficiency

Together these mean:

  • Higher milk yields
  • Better milk quality across a range of diets and feeding systems
  • Reduced body condition score losses
  • Greater reproductive efficiency
  • Better rumen health and lower levels of SARA
  • Healthier, more profitable cows.

Why does Supa Cream deliver these benefits?

The unique combination of fatty acids helps meet the energy needs of dairy cows, while supplying the balance of fatty acids required to optimise energy utilisation, butterfat production and health:

  • Supa-Cream contains both C16:0 to support butterfat production and fats from vegetable sources for increased digestibility
  • By improving digestibility the energy supply is increased which helps maximise production and reduced body condition loss
  • The fatty acids in Supa-Cream contain over three times the energy content of carbohydrate based feeds such as cereals and beet pulp
  • Including C18:1 reduces insulin resistance, minimising body condition loss and improving cow health
  • Being rumen-inert they can be included with no risk of acidosis
  • The inclusion of glycerine has a direct effect on fatty acid digestibility, meaning more energy is used
  • Omega 3 from marine sources is proven to have a positive effect on fertility
