Knowlege and innovation
As the leading specialist UK manufacturer of energy, protein and omega-3 supplements, we have led the field in lipid nutrition in the livestock industry, both in the UK and internationally.
Our nutritional solutions are based on a multi-species, multi-functional approach incorporating the latest research, knowledge-share and bespoke product development.
We are addressing the current demands of supply, productivity and environmental responsibility, by investing in innovation and challenging traditional methods to deliver a dynamic food and farming sector for future generations.
We recognise the connection between animal health and welfare, with human health and well-being, and this is central to our commitment to align our feed solutions with the over-arching goals to end hunger, achieve food security and improve nutrition.
From our unique UK manufacturing facility, alongside our US production plant in Illinois, our dynamic operating environment is the starting point for our commitment to environmental integrity.
Significant investment in equipment, annual energy audits and a commitment to seek sustainable energy sources, helps us to increase efficiencies and reduce our carbon footprint through the use of intelligent control systems.
Our extensive raw material processing range is responsibly sourced and scrutinised, and we support the anti-deforestation movement through the materials we buy and use.
Recycled materials are extensively used within our packaging and distribution channels, including reduced polymer bags, recycled packaging and the use of reduced timber pallets.
This open, transparent and traceable production process supports our customers and other stakeholders in their own sustainability commitments.
Our product development philosophy is based on achieving more from less, maximising feed conversion efficiency to exploit genetic potential, therefore improving productivity and profitability.
In doing so, we have developed an ever-evolving portfolio of products to fulfil the commercial needs of our customers, while addressing specific environmental challenges at the forefront of the industry’s responsibilities.
We have introduced high-performance alternative blends to replace and improve on palm-based and palm-oil derivative products, avoiding the environmental devastation and deforestation associated with palm-oil production.
Our practical approach, applying the latest knowledge to new product development, has seen the introduction of solutions such as reducing methane production in ruminants, reducing reliance on soya in ruminant and monogastric diets, and identifying and developing alternatives to fishmeal feed.
By improving gut health and general animal welfare, we can also reduce the use of antibiotics.
Combined, we can help produce healthier foods with lower fats, lower saturated fat and enhanced omega-3 in our eggs, milk and meat products.
See our (Product) pages to view our full portfolio across both ruminant and monogastric ranges, including international products.
