Mega Beef

Introduction to the Product

About Mega Beef

Optimising the fatty acids and oil content of beef rearing and finishing diets can have significant nutritional and financial benefits. Mega Beef is a unique blend of specially selected rumen-inert fatty acids which supply a balanced fatty acid profile to maximise energy supply. As a friable, dust-free meal, it is ideal for inclusion in all beef diets, allowing livestock to achieve their potential by:

  • Maximising Dry Matter Intakes
  • Increasing overall energy supply
  • Increasing diet total energy density
  • Improving forage utilisation
  • Reducing the risk of acidosis
  • Boosting the immune systems
  • Providing the optimum fatty acid profile for meat production

Together these mean:

  • Improved growth rates and carcase quality
  • Increased feed conversion efficiency
  • Reduction in number of days to slaughter
  • Better meat quality

Typical daily feed rates

Growing cattle 250-400 grams/head/day
Beef finishing cattle 500-750 grams/head/day

Further Information

Why does Mega Beef deliver these benefits?

The unique combination of fatty acids helps meet the energy needs of all beef rearing and finishing cattle while supplying the specific nutrients required for optimum performance. The fats in Mega Beef contain over 2.5 times the energy content of carbohydrate based feeds including cereals. Being rumen-inert they can increase the energy content of the diet with no increased risk of acidosis Mega Beef is a unique blend of specially selected vegetable and marine oils, which means the fatty acids are more efficiently utilised than hard fats, therefore providing more effective energy for the animals.
