Improving the bottom line………..UFAC press release: December, 2009Find out why a young Dumfries farmer had the confidence to invest €300,000 to expand his dairy herd by 100 cows and how, with advice from Ufac-UK, he improved milk yield by 3kg per cow per day to nearly 32 kg. He changed his feeding system and formulated a new diet. Feeding a TMR with the correct energy requirements all year round has also improved milk quality, cow condition and fertility. Conception rates have jumped by 20 per cent.
